No-where else other than perhaps in the valley of the Arfon Gelyn in North Wales really typifies the remoteness, and gruelling existence Welsh farmers once had. The now derelict farms belong to a different age. The waters of the Arfon Gelyn feed Llyn Celyn, a reservoir of considerable symbolic national signficance and resentment to many Welsh people who lost their homes including presumably, also those in the Arfon Gelyn valley.
